saving money on hunting gear Everybody has a wish list, especially for hunting gear. That is why it is important to set a budget for your hunting gear. I mean some things you can go cheap on, but you must remember that old saying that says, “you get what you pay for”. I’m not saying you have to go out and buy the most expensive products either.

Hunting gear consist of lots of products. That is why it is important to set a budget and stay within that price. Make a list of items you want and the prices of them and then you decide on where you can spare some money and get by with what you got and what you need. The biggest thing to remember that you have to be smart on what hunting gear you buy and where you buy it.

deer camerasI had somebody come up to me and ask me which deer cameras would be best for him. That was a tough question. First of all I had to figure out his budget on how much he wanted to spend. That was the part that was the decision maker. The reason I say that is because he could go cheap and get more cameras or he could go expensive and get less quantity.

Ya, he could get more for $200, but do you want one with more features on it and later on you can add more accessories later on? I mean the cheaper ones work just fine, but what you see is what you get. But you can look at it the other way too. You can get more deer cameras and cover more area. Nobody ever said that choosing deer cameras was easy.

moultrie feeders deer camerasDisguising your moultrie feeders deer cameras isn’t all that important. Some hunters think you have to hide it so that way the deer don’t see it. But to tell you the truth after awhile deer just smell it and carry on, unless it spooks them with the flash at night.

The new cameras actually come disguised already. They come in different colors and shapes. For example some moultrie feeders deer cameras are rugged and look like part of a tree. So don’t think you have to find a hiding place for your deer camera.

Moultrie Feeders Live Deer CameraSomething that gets overlooked sometimes is how you position your deer cameras. What I mean by this is that you can easily not point it in the right direction and you must get a glare off the sun or totally have it pointed in the air. And what happens when it is pointing in the air? Exactly, you don’t get your object in the camera.

So that is why you should look at all angles of your deer cameras and make sure it is pointing at your trail. A good way to test it is just walk by it and see where you have to stand to make it flash. If you have to jump up in the air obviously it is too high, and if you have to wave your hand on the ground, well I guess your too low. I hope this made sense to you and I hope you will take this advice and use it to help you with positioning your deer cameras.
