knife accessoriesWhen using knife accessories three stages make it possible to obtain a “better than factory” edge quickly and effortlessly. Stage 1, using 100% diamond abrasives, sharpens the edge. Stage 2 is a super-hardened miniature steel that develops a shaving sharp edge with ultra-sharp microscopic teeth, providing a superior edge “bite”. hunting equipmentNow the most important thing about trying to squeeze on your hunting equipment is that you don’t ruin anything. Ya, you want to take everything along because you don’t know what you need and when you need it. I mean when I go on my hunting trips I basically take everything along except for the kitchen sink.

This might not seem to be a big deal to some people, but you have to be smart about all your hunting equipment. A lot of it is not cheap! I guess I have seen where things were jam packed and because of that things got wrecked. So this was just a helpful tip to remind yourself to be smart about how you pack your gear.

hunting gearOne thing is for sure, you should add knife sharpeners to your hunting gear. The reason why I say this, is you never know when you will need a sharp knife. You can be in the woods, or in a middle of cat tails in a wet area. You never know what you are going to stumble upon and if you need your knife to get out of tough situations.

I know you already have lots in your hunting gear, but what good is a dull knife? Also many knives cost a lot, so you should keep  a nice edge on it and make it last longer and who knows, you can pass it down to your kids!

saving money on hunting gear Everybody has a wish list, especially for hunting gear. That is why it is important to set a budget for your hunting gear. I mean some things you can go cheap on, but you must remember that old saying that says, “you get what you pay for”. I’m not saying you have to go out and buy the most expensive products either.

Hunting gear consist of lots of products. That is why it is important to set a budget and stay within that price. Make a list of items you want and the prices of them and then you decide on where you can spare some money and get by with what you got and what you need. The biggest thing to remember that you have to be smart on what hunting gear you buy and where you buy it.

knife accessoriesEarlier we had talked about keeping your knife sharp. But did we ever talk about the importance of keeping it sharp? Well, having your knife accessories available to you at all times is a must. You should keep a good knife sharpener as part as your accessories.

The reason why you should have a sharpener part of your knife accessories is because your knife should never go dull. Once your edge goes dull it is very hard to get a good edge back. And nobody wants to a dull knife. You mine as well as get a butter knife. There would be no difference. So remember to always sharpen your knife!
